What to Expect
First Office Visit Experience:

Your first visit to our office is our first opportunity to exceed all of your expectations.  You will be greeted enthusiastically by one of our fantastic front desk marketing chiropractic assistants.

They will ask for your completed New Patient Health History Forms (located in the New Patient Center of the website).  OR they will hand you a form to fill.

You will be escorted on a personal tour of the office before your consultation begins so that you can find your way around the office (everyone needs to know where the bathroom is).

Your next step is to meet with one of the Marketing Chiropractic Examiners (MCEs) in a private, one on one consultation. This private time gives  us the opportunity to get to know what your unique health challenges have been and what you want your health future to look like.  We will discuss why you are here as well as any other additional details you wish to discuss prior to the examination related to your case.

Your exam will then begin with the same MCE. We will take you through the examination process consisting of computerized scan of your spine, digital photographic posture analysis, computerized digital range of motion testing and many other chiropractic tests.

We will make sure that you understand everything. Do not hesitate to ask questions, they are expected. One of the major premises of this office is that you are responsible for your own health. After all how can a person make the best decisions for themselves if they do not have all the facts?

Your doctor will wrap up the exam, answer any final questions that you may have and outline the second visit, "The Results of Tests" appointment.

Finally, you will speak with one of our front-desk superstars to schedule the second appointment with the doctor in order for us to go over the results of your tests.  Our experience is that since there is so much new and different information being presented, directly relevant to your care, that you should bring your spouse, significant other, or friend with you for the "The Results of Tests" appointment. This will benefit you tremendously by having someone there to help you process all of the information and lend support for the process you are about to embark upon.

Second Office Visit Experience:

Your journey to better health resumes upon your second arrival at CWC. You will again be enthusiastically greeted by one of our wonderful front desk team members before meeting with your doctor. After having completed the first visit, consisting of consultation, examination and scan your doctor has taken the time to thoroughly review your findings and is now prepared to help you participate in your own health by answering four main questions:

-    Can we help?

Your doctor is highly trained to determine whether or not your condition is one that chiropractic can help.  If we can we will tell you that.  If not, we will tell you that too.  If necessary, we work openly with other healthcare professionals to assure you receive the appropriate care.

-    What is causing my problem?

We will summarize your exam findings, go over your scans, explain the computer analysis and explain to you, in words you understand, what we believe to be causing your health condition.

-    How long will it take?
The duration of care depends upon how long your body and nervous system has not been functioning optimally, past injuries (if any), and your health goals.  It is truly different for each individual.  We will give you estimates based upon our experience with other practice members with similar health conditions.

-    How much will it cost?

Each of us has the freedo
m to place a different value on our health. Ultimately, good health is about personal responsibility. While an insurance company or other third party may be helpful, be careful. Don't allow a profit-motivated company to make decisions about what you do with your health.  We will be straight forward with you on the cost of care.  Practice members in our clinic are happy to find out that our rates are reasonable and very affordable, whether you have insurance coverage or not (in fact, most of our patients don't have insurance).

After your doctor completely answers all of your questions you will then meet with one of our team leaders, to complete your financial arrangements.

Your first adjustment, should you decide to start care, will occur immediately after the results of your examination have been given and financial arrangements have been made.  Should you have any additional questions regarding getting adjusted please check out the frequently asked questions page on the website or ask any of our “well-adjusted” team members.

We look forward to helping you and your family experience a lifetime full of optimal health and well-being!

Phase 1: Relief Care

Thumbs Up to Relief
Many people go to a chiropractor because they are in pain. In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms. Sometimes this will require daily visits, or two to three visits per week for a time.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don’t feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them – that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.

For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease? Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last thing to appear. When you begin chiropractic care, pain is also the first symptom to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains.

Phase 2: Corrective Care

Teaming Up for Optimal Health
Most chiropractors regard the elimination of symptoms as the easiest part of a persons care. If all that the chiropractor does is to reduce the pain and stop there, the chances of the condition recurring are much greater. In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care even though your symptoms are gone. This will be determined by objective testing that you will be able to see!
During the correction / restorative phase of your care, you will not have to receive adjustments as often as you did during the first phase of care and, depending on your particular circumstances, you may begin doing exercises and stretches either at the center or at home to help accelerate your healing.

Do not be discouraged if you have mild flare-ups in your symptoms on occasion. This is normal. Flare-ups are bound to occur during this phase because your body has not fully healed. Depending on the severity of your injury or condition and how long you have been suffering from it, this phase of your care may last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Maintenance is Key to Healthy Living
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care can help ensure that your physical problems do not return, and keep your body in optimal condition. Just like continuing an exercise program and eating well in order to sustain the benefits of exercise and proper diet, it is necessary to continue chiropractic care to ensure the health of your musculoskeletal system.

When you make routine chiropractic care a part of your lifestyle, you avoid many of the aches and pains that so many people suffer through, your joints will last longer and you will be able to engage in more of the activities you love.
